Rose Standard

The Rose standard is a handmade 45 key hybrid English treble concertina (G3-A6), designed and developed by the Concertina Connection.  It is the "second tier" english model of our Intermediate class. 

The Standard Rose is the most popular intermediate English model, with hardwood ends, Engelmann spruce soundboard, flex free MS58 sheet brass riveted and bushed action, Wakker bellows with 90%+ TFT, maple amplifonic reedpans, and either domed or flat top traditional metal capped buttons. 

The Rose is a hybrid concertina, featuring accordion type reeds rather than traditional concertina reeds. Accordion type reeds are a high quality economical alternative to traditional concertina reeds. 
The instruments measures 7 inch across the flats and is available with ebonized (black) or natural finished ends.

Rose Custom

The Rose Custom is the "third tier" english model of our intermediate class. It bridges the gap between the standard Rose and the Wakker traditional models.

The design and size are identical to the Rose Standard, but the materials used (tone woods, hide/bone glues, french polished finish), are the same as used in the Wakker traditional models.
The use of tonal woods allow for sound customization, amplifying or removing higher harmonics to change the brightness of the  sound. 
The protein glues and french polish are 'acoustically invisible', allowing soundwaves to travel through the instrument without glue barriers or a constrictive synthetic 'wrap' finish. The result is a hybrid concertina with an exeptional of tonal refinement.
