Clover Standard
The Clover Standard is a handmade 30 key C/G Anglo concertina, designed and developed by the Concertina Connection. It is the "second tier" Anglo model of our Intermediate class.
The Clover is available in Wheatstone/Lachenal and Jeffries layout, with either the Wheatstone or Jeffries keyboard rake.
The Standard Clover is the most popular intermediate anglo model, with hardwood ends, Engelmann spruce soundboard, flex free MS58 sheet brass riveted and bushed action, Wakker bellows with 90%+ TFT, maple amplifonic reedpans, and domed traditional metal capped buttons.
The Clover is a hybrid concertina, featuring accordion type reeds rather than traditional concertina reeds. Accordion type reeds are a high quality economical alternative to traditional concertina reeds.
The instruments measures 6 1/4 inch across the flats and is available with ebonized (black) or natural finished ends.

Clover Custom in French polished Walnut
Clover Custom
The Clover Custom is the "third tier" anglo model of our intermediate class. It bridges the gap between the standard Clover and the Wakker traditional models.
The design and size are identical to the Clover Standard, but the materials used (tone woods, hide/bone glues, french polished finish), are the same as used in the Wakker traditional models.
The use of tonal woods allow for sound customization, amplifying or removing higher harmonics to change the brightness of the sound.
The protein glues and french polish are 'acoustically invisible', allowing soundwaves to travel through the instrument without glue barriers or a constrictive synthetic 'wrap' finish. The result is a hybrid concertina with an exeptional of tonal refinement.
