The instrument
The Elise is a 34 key Hayden Duet concertina, designed by the Concertina Connection Inc.
Duet concertinas play the same note on both bellows directions (push and pull). The low notes are on the left side, and the treble notes on the right side, much like on an accordion or piano. Because of its small size it is very portable, and blends perfectly with other instruments.
The Elise is realtively easy to learn and perfect for all kinds of music styles. It is partially chromatic, some accidentals are missing due to its small size. However, the Elise is perfectly capable of playing in the most common major and minor keys used in popular and folk music.

Tutor book
The Elise comes with an easy to understand 50 page tutor book, especially written for this instrument with songs and melodies from around the world. It will teach the basics of playing concertina, music notation, rhythm, and music theory. The tutor is suitable for both self study and for use in formal lessons, e.g. music schools or private instruction.
